San Diego Straight Razor Shaves

Has anyone been to Dapper Jays barbershop that recently opened in La Mesa? They advertise $16 haircuts and $16 straight razor shaves. The reviews I've read online seem overly positive which brings out my inner skeptic, but I think I'd give more weight to the review if I knew it was from someone here.

I don't know the place however straight razor shaves? I doubt it especially in California for health code reasons. At best its probably a disposable type which is not a straight.

City of San Diego still allows real straight razor shaves I believe.

When I was stationed there I went to a place in Coronado called Crown Barbershop, and a lady named Myra gave me the best razor fades every other Saturday.

No help here but I have been curious if the barber shop on the corner of El Cajon and Park offers straight shaves. Its seems like the type of place that would.
