Hi,
I'm having a real addiction to purchasing shaving creams lately. A few days ago I received a tube of 'Ingram Brushless' shaving cream. I decided to give it a whirl this morning and was quite confused at it's performance. Here's what happened:
I first put a squirt of the cream into my bowl and gave it a swirl with my wet shaving brush, and it seemed to disapear. I looked at the end of the brush bristles, and the cream was there - BUT NO LATHER??? (I know this is 'Brushless', but I thought I read somewhere that it can be used with a brush anyway?).
So next I squirted some cream onto my fingers and tried rubbing it straight onto my wet face - STILL NO LATHER???, I thought 'Oh well' and tried a shave with the thin, transparent layer of cream on my face anyway ('maybe it's supposed to be like that', I thought).
Well.....After a couple of cautious strokes with the razor, I gave up. My razor jumped, tugged and just wasn't 'gliding' anywhere. To remedy my shave, I turned to my old friend, Mr Proraso soap, who was delighted to help and shaved my face like the true 'Pro' he is.
My question is this: How are you meant to use 'Ingram Brushless'?, is it supposed to lather-up? Or am I expecting too much from something of 'Budget' pricing?
