What a difference a blade makes...

I've been using Personna brand razors from walmart and tried a different razor today. I tried out a Derby and I have to say I was totally impressed. My new Muhle R89/Derby combo has given me the most comfortable, irritation, nick free BBS shave to date! When using the Personnas they did the job but I would always feel the razor pull the whiskers just a tad when shaving. No such thing with the Derby. The blade just glided through with no pulling what so ever. Once I exhaust my stock pile of Personnas I'm definitely gonna purchase some higher quality razors like Derby's or maybe Feathers.

I had the same experience, except it doesnt stop. I though Derbys were the best thing since sliced bread, until i tried yellow gillettes. I then couldnt go back to Derbys, as they felt like they pulled. So beware!:w00t:

Dont stop there... take the step into blade nirvana and try a feather in that R89 :001_smile
