i recently purchased these blades by Parker from an online retailer which supplies all of my skin care and shaving materials. They were reasonably priced and came highly recommended by its users. After a few shaves, I started to notice a rust-like appearance in the center of the blade. I thought it was a fluke, but I noticed that it also did the same thing on the new blade I put in on a subsequent shave. I cannot tell if this "rust" has spread to the actual edge of the razor. The shaves aren't amazing or anything (they are on par with merkur) but I am afraid to keep using them if this is some kind of wear or oxidation that will infringe upon the edge of the razor. I was just wondering if any of you guys that use these blades have had this happen to you. Ive never seen this happen with other blades by different brands. Id have to wait to order a new pack to give them another chance ( i only ordered one to test them out) but in the meantime I am using something else. I appreciate any feedback

I actually learned DE shaving with those blades, in a Parker as well. Looking back they actually weren't that bad of a blade, IMHO.

Never had a rust problem with them. The only post-cleaning I do with my razors is a good rinse and gentle shake.

Not sure how much you are picking them up for, but on Amazon they are going for $17.76 for 100. You can pick up 100 red pack Israelis or Crystals for almost half of that. (If you are worried about picking up another batch that ends up rusting!)

Hope that helps.

That has never happened to me with any blade. I take my 3 piece razors apart and open up the TTO's and take the razor out between each shave.

I had this problem-- I don't use those blades anymore as they were rough on my face as well.

That was my first DE razor and blade combo. Parker and 7AM. At first 7AM was ok until I tried a Merkur blade. It was night and day. Then when I had chance to try Swedes, Feathers, Derby's, and try those three. If you are using a merkur that is not a 33c or 34c, usually heavier, with a feather, it can burn your face. If you want to go for the blade that is all around almost perfect, go with Derby's

I find a big difference between the 7 o'clock blades (yellow, green, grey/black) and the green 7 am blades. I rate the 7 o'clock blades a lot higher.
