As winter is approaching fast and I work quite a lot outside, I'm looking for an aftershave balm to keep my rapidly ageing skin in decent condition. I have some Proraso pre/post but the smell is not that great.
Something with a nice fruity/flowery scent (don't want to smell like an old bloke!) would be great.
Any suggestions?

Proraso ASB for definate, light, moisturising, great but not-overpowering scent.
 My favourite ASB:biggrin:
P.S - Sorry, I missed the bit about not liking Proraso!, but I must say - Haven't heard anyone say that before?

I have used:
Feather Kanwa
Proraso Liquid
Proraso Pre/Post
SCS Tony's Choice
Nancy Boy Cooling
GFT Coral Skin Food
GFT Limes Skin Food
Mama Bear's B&B Summer Aftershave
So far, I am really, really liking the MB B&B aftershave - I think it is more than just "summer" IMO. Very much like Harris Milk - it goes on pretty liquid-y, but absorbs fairly quickly and just leaves my skin feeling great with a nice, non-lingering scent too. I like the Feather too (I wrote a review), but it is not overly moisturizing and works well in the summer months. Smelling great is what colognes were made for. :)

I have been using the B&B aftershave from Mama Bear and an almu block also from Mama Bear and my face has never felt as good. I used to always have trouble with my neck looking red now this whole week I ahve had great skin and better shaves.
For me, I think everybody here knows it, because it's my favourite one, OLIVIA's A/S balm.
Made only with natural ingredients and lightly scented with lavender.
Perfect for the colder season and also perfect against ingrown hairs.

I actually prefer Musgo Real Splash to any of my balms. This is unusual but I find it to be the finest aftershave on the market, period, IMO.
For balms, I would have to say one of the balms by L"Occitane, either CADE or L'Occitan, IMO the CADE is slightly better, but they are both very nice.
Next up it would Proraso liquid Cream Aftershave, their balm. It's very nice and at $12 for 3.4 oz, it's a much better price than many others out there.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

I'd go here (http://www.badgerandblade.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=42) and check out some of the killer reviews we have posted, that - along with the comments from the fine chaps who responded before me should get you well on your way

I mentioned both the L'Occitane balms. These are especially great for winter use. When I use them I don't even need to thing about a moisturizer, a fantastic winter balm.

I've been experimenting with Tea Tree oil as it is supposed to have "magical" properties when applied to the skin. So far, I love it. It burns like fire at first, but quickly cools to a comfortable, almost menthol-like sensation. Caution: only use about 1/2 of a drop mixed in with some neutral aftershave or you may catch fire or something.

Michael A/S balm by Michael Kors. It's highly moisturizing & has a very creamy consistency, but goes on matte. The fragrance of the product has lead to the most compliments from women out of any product I've ever used, so that doesn't hurt either.

My two current favorites are Truefitt & Hill 1805 and Art of Shaving Sandlewood. Love them both!
