Thank you for your question about our four fragrance line which includes the two Prastara scents.

You are unfortunately all too correct about our website, www.DouglasHopkins.com; it does not do a good job! We have a major revision underway.

I see B&B is a specialized forum of true experts and aficionados and therefore it is likely the products of our atelier style enterprise will be of interest to the members. One of your fragrance reviewers (Scotto?) should contact me for review samples.

Our motto is Purveyors of fine royal, ancient, or lost apothecarial discoveries. Although we have been carried by Bergdorf Goodman (men’s) for a decade, we remain a well-kept secret by choice. We are what the trade calls ultra-luxury, a niche company with largely-hand crafted production and selective, specialty store distribution.

Prastara is a formula originated by Louis XIV. It has been produced in modern times for approximately 100 years. I discovered it in the former USSR shortly after the Wall went down and negotiated the world rights from the small factory that had been producing it since World War II.

If you join the subscriber list at the site, you'll be the first to be the judges of our web upgrade, and we are known to disperse samples on rare occasions.

One well-stocked retailer is Cambridge Chemists on Madison Avenue in New York City, www.cambridgechemists.com. Telephone: 800.241.1447. Ask for Jessica, resident fragrance expert.

Any additional questions, please contact me: DouglasHopkins(at)gmail.com.

Thank you for your interest....and might I enquire, where did you land on our sample? It is always of interest to follow the trail of such a unique conclusion as B&B.
