Red Pack Personna (Red Pack Personna)
In the razor (in the razor)
Makes my face happy (makes my face happy)
Make me feel fine (make me feel fine)
Red Pack Personna (Red Pack Personna)
They just glide all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna
Love them till the end of time
So here's to the vintage Gillette
And here's to the new Merkur
And mostly here's a toast
To Red Pack and me
So here's to the Red Pack blade
I am using today
And here's a shave
That will last all day
Apologies to Don Ho.

I hope ASR never figures out what they have with the Red IP. They might triple the price.

I'm in as well. Love these things. Cheap and plentiful and damned effective.

+1 Great blade. Decided not to risk these going away like the Swede. Ordered 300 more off the Bay for a total of 400 in hand. Should they go away that's maybe 399x5 = 1995 great shaves and one blade left over to slit my wrists. (just kidding)

I hope the Red Pack Israeli Personna are good ones!
I just ordered 100 of them from iamdarkangel off his ebay store.
I have heard them compared to Derby and if the quality is that good I will be pleased.....two bucks cheaper than Derby shipped

I think they are slightly smoother than Derby.

Great blades. Current my go to blade. However, I'm not exactly ready to immortalize them in poetry or song.

Best blade I've ever used. AWESOME actually. I will get about 1000 more to add to my already huge collection of blades. But as mentioned before I don't want to risk them going the way of the Swede and I'm left S.O.L....

red packs rock--I haven't tried everything yet--but these are smoother than my derbys and wal mark personnas.

I wish I could love them the way you guys do, but they just don't cut it for me. They are smooth and all, but I never get a close shave with them.

Mine too. I find these two blades to be so similar I can't tell any difference in their performance so I bought the Reds because they were a bit cheaper.
Actually, Gillette "Swedes" are really my favorite, but I'm too cheap to pay for them

Had my FIRST shave with a Red Pack IP today :)
I used my Forties Super Speed loaded with the IP and using my VDH/Yardley frankensoap and the shave was smooth and sharp and met all expectations.
Afterward I had my cold water splash and applied Dollar General Witch Hazel and topped it off with a generous amount of vintage Avon Tribute Aftershave from circa 1969-71 in the http://images.goantiques.com/thumbnails2/NMM5868/NMM58688162.jpg
All in all a GREAT shaving experience. I have just ordered 100 more Red Pack IP.

I will chime in with my admiration for red pack Personnas. They are dirt cheap and give smooth, comfortable shaves, making them a great everyday blade for me.:biggrin::biggrin:
There are some blades that give a slightly closer and longer lasting shave, but not by much and at the sacrifice of some comfort.

I agree with Neil. Smooth shave, but the blade just isn't SHARP enough for me.
I've pretty much narrowed my blades down to Gillette Yellows and Kais. I can get one more shave out of each Kai, but the first shave is slightly rougher than the Yellows.
