first I thought, the blue dispenser comes in 1950. Then Joe posted a 1949 blue Dispenser and now I found this one from 1948 Made in England. :w00t:

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing Achim!
So, if I get it right, the all-blue came out before the blue/white dispenser in England?

Not to hijack the thread but the Code on the blade is T4, which accounts for 1973 gillette razors.
Do the razor blades not follow these codes  I was under the assumption the blades were.
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated,

the date code starts 1930 with "A". So the first "T" is 1948, then 25 years later 1973. The razors follow these date codes since 1951.

Hi Achim
I am glad you got the blue dispenser. I was going to get it but I did not get up in time. I was late for fishing and eBay, how unholy it that.
Wow, the red one look like it belongs to the devil.

My french blue dispenser is from 1961. Your red one looks like the same time, but the blades are looking like Thin Blades. :w00t:

No its US. I just took another look at it and it is actually a demonstration piece. It says so on the dispenser itself. The blades inside have no date codes and they are unsharpened blue blades... which look quite odd when they aren't sharpened btw. I presume that it dates from the very early days of dispensers to help debut the "new technology".
