Gentlemen,

Has anyone noticed any difference or special techniques to use , to put it bluntly, when your face is fat? Less, more pressure...etc?

I was also born with chubby cheeks. I personally think it makes it easier to shave. I have a fairly heavy razor (merkur futur) and I hold it close to the head using very little pressure. I think my jaw lines are very easy to handle. Of course this all varies based on the direction of your hair growth. My beard grows N-S for the most part. The most difficult part is my neck. I find that having chubby cheeks requires less skin stretching.

I got slightly chubby cheeks , no real difference in technique from my point of view anyway.

I've lost 24lbs since I started DE shaving and my face has slimmed down quite a bit. I haven't noticed any difference in how I shave.

Congrats! Does this mean we can add weight-loss to the benefits of DE shaving? But seriously, thats great! I'm trying to get motivated myself...

I have "ample facial surface area"...

I do:

one pass skin stretched

one pass "bullfrog" (thanks Mantic for the name)

then I do a semi-random east-west cleanup pass. but that one usually ends up going in all directions.. lol.

I think you have to experiment to get the right amount of pressure for your skin.

Yes, most emphatically. My experiences have taught me the following:

When shaving with a DE razor, be even more careful to apply little-or-no pressure, and be careful of exposed blade corners.
When shaving with a straight razor, avoid spike-point blades!

In either/any case, never hurry your shave -- there are no points for "finishing first".
