Hi everyone,
Before ordering Feather, I just wanted get some experience with cheaper shavette and ordered one from classicshaving.com. It got delievered yesterday. I started toying without any blade in it and felt ok. My choice of soap was nomad for this shave and loaded the razor with perma-sharp.
2 light N-S passes with couple of nicks on the mustache area. For the third pass I used my slant/feather combo in order to clean up and finished with proraso ASB. Using straight first time was not scary, It was fun. I need to get more skills with this razor before I jump to AC RG.

I purchased a Feather AC while I was waiting to get some old straight razors from my wife's side of the family honed and get a strop etc. So far I'm using the Pro Guard blades (they have a guard on them that seems to help prevent cuts/nicks) with some success--reasonably close shave, no cuts or irritation. The Feather is a little heavier than the 5/8 straights I have and the blade is a little shorter. So what have I learned in the last 2 weeks with a Feather AC?

- Be sure you have enough time--don't get in a rush
- Be light with the touch
- Watch the angle
- No more than 2 passes
- The hardest part for me to get close is the neck
