Hi Everyone,

I've started to incorporate an ATG pass in my shaves.
1st pass: WTG (N-S)
2nd pass: XTG, but WTG on mouth/goatee area for reasons that will become apparent.
3rd pass: ATG...

Although I have no problems shaving my cheeks and jawline ATG, My mouth/goatee area is problematic: it's stubble is very, very coarse, and I can feel considerable tug when I try to shave ATG in this area.

Any advice, tips, strategies on how to shave a coarse mouth/goatee area ATG? Or should I attempt to shave it XTG first?

Thank you

P.S. I'm loving the Thayer's Witch Hazel. The whiteheads that would pop up late afternoon/early evening are gone!

I can't do ATG above or to the sides of my lips either. I usually settle for WTG, then 2 XTG passes...

First XTG pass, I stretch the skin and shave from the outside in towards the nose...

Second XTG pass, I go from the inside out, stretching again. Usually, this is good enough... either my muzzle will have a hint of stubble, or be darkened by the stippling of little scabs. I'd much rather have the first.
