Has anyone ever tried these? There's an Arabic foodstore in Stockholm that sell these pretty cheap, but I'm curious to know if they're worth the money.

I haven't heard of them, but if you have access to them, they're cheap and you're curious, there's only one way to find out if they're worth a shot.

I'm a bit afraid that these will carve up my face worse than the Mach 20!

Bought a pack of six blades for only 15 Swedish crowns, which is cheap as hell. I will try them when I've killed the Feather blade that I use now and give you a review.

I won't review the Topaz blades, but I will give you a rundown instead.

I tried them on Monday. I lathered up with some T&H 1805 cream after a hot shower and began my WTG pass.

I immediately felt a tugging and skipping motion but I still finished the pass. Then when I started my first XTG pass I decided that it's not worth the risk of tearing up my face, because this blade was so bad, that a Merkur blade feels like a Feather next to it.

I discarded the blade and finished my shave with a Gillette Platinum instead.

I found Topaz blades here: http://www.razorbladesandmore.com/content/10-topaz-platinum-sputtered-edges-blades

Does anyone know anything about these blades?

Yes.

They are made in India and are a good value for the price.

I use them occasionally and have a couple of cartons of them
