I have a flare tip Rocket that has the "II" stamped under the head. I have seen some flare tips that do not have this marking.

What does the "II" designate?

Is there a way to determine when this Rocket was manufactured?
(I assume sometime in the 50's since it is flare tip)

I think there was a discussion on this very topic and if i remember correctly the "II" was to denote that the razor was more aggressive than the razor without this mark.

Right, I on the light (mild) Blue Tip Rocket and III on the heavy (more aggressive) Red Tip Rocket.

Appreciate the link!

"#13: The Flare Tip Rocket; this is perhaps the most common Rocket and is styled like the Flare Tip Super Speed. These came in the same cases as the Parat, some clear/red some clear/white and a clear over white squarish case like the late model Super Speeds. Some were marked with a II symbol under head, Brit. Pat. 694093."

Mine came with the 'clear over white squarish case', however, I am not sure it is the original because the case says made in the USA.
