I recently got this brush back from Muhle after the knot was replaced. It has not been used since then. The knot is 21mm in Silvertip. The density is medium. Not floppy by any means, but not a Chubby or Rooney dense either. It has enough backbone to dig well into soaps, but it's not so dense that it hogs lather. It worked very well for me and I would be keeping it if it were the 23mm model. I'm downsizing my collection to items that I have in rotation or are special to me for some reason.
The grooves of the brush appear to be caked with cream. This is not the case. It is the flash enhancing the effect of the unpolished horn. The brush is in excellent condition and quite clean.
