Like the title says how did I do, good bad indifferent?
I bought this razor off ebay.

It was cheap and I figured worst case scenario, I'm out 8 bucks. Any one venture a year / model? A ball end tech (I'm pretending I know what I'm talking about:blushing: )
I haven't actually even started DE shaving yet  and I already have 3 razors on the way. I got a Superspeed off of the B/S/T here to start and I am anxiously awaiting it.

Yah did well. That's a gold, ball end, fluted handle (Gillette) Tech. They are nice, mild shavers particularly suited to a light beard and/or a n00b.
As for the date, there should be a code under the head (a letter and a number) which will indicate date and quarter of manufacture according to this table here (http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/US_Gillette_Dating_Information). The letter indicates the year, and the number indicates what quarter of the year.

It's a Gillette contract tech and you really couldn't have driven to an antique shop and back and bought a razor for much less so you did good. You could find it for $2.50 sure but like I said with gas and time it would cost roughly the same. Good score.

Thank you much for the response. I figured I was safe enough at that pricepoint, I need to stop buying things for now. I'm way to impulsive for all of this to end well. Combine that with my pack rat genetics, and I'm in trouble.
