View Full Version : Sensory Overload

The shear number of quality creams and vast array of scents is nothing short of mind blowing. I have been wet shaving for a year now but am just now branching out from NB and AOS. I am having a blast with my TOBS sample pack but am experiencing sensory overload. How can I possible pick one or two TOBS scents to buy? 2 days ago St. James put me in a state of meditation. Yesterday my Mr. Taylor shave was fit for a king. But todays shave with Lemon & Lime was heavenly. And, I havent even tried Castle Forbes, T&H, or DR Harris yet.

I am honestly overwhelmed. I dont know if I should curse or thank you people. :tongue_sm

On a side note: The scent combination of TOBS Lemon & Lime with TGR scented aftershave balm was incredible. Too bad it wore off after a couple minutes.

Have you tried the Rose? :tongue_sm. Of all the TOBS scents though, I'd say that Mr. Taylor is my favorite.

I havent tried TOBS Rose but I have tried Trumpers Rose. I liked it, but the scent didnt knock my socks off. I can see myself enjoying a rose shave every now and again, but probably not as part of a regular rotation.

I did try TOBS Avacado which gave a great shave, but like the Rose I am not wild about the scent.

I know exactly what you mean. I just got my TOBS sampler and I am completely overwhelmed - but in a good way I guess! Have only tried the almond so far; great scent, great lather, great shave. I can't decide whether to use one up before trying another, or just pick one at random every day. Then, at some point, I'll have to decide which ones to buy in tubs (God help me).

I can see this slope getting really really slippery, really really quick!

With the price for a tub of Taylor's being so reasonable just go ahead and get them all.

Sometimes I read posts about all of the products and then get all anxious about what new product I should buy. Then, I go into my bathroom and have a great shave with what I already have and life is good.
