As I was surfing and looking at shaving products, I came across this German site selling rather cheap straight razors. The company seems to otherwise deal with medical/ surgical instruments. Does any one know how good their straight razors are? Here is the link,

I haven't, prices are pretty good. I just don't know how good the metal is. I know it says SS, but what grade?

Interesting site and prices. Don't think I would fancy whipping up a lather in them kidney bowls though, I thought they were for being sick in ?

But to be fair, it's a German site so it's probably more of a translation issue than a labelling one. If the razors are mislabelled in German, however...

I thought most europeans call straights "cut-throat" razors.

I never mind that name for them, since there are so many names, straight, open, cut-throat, "barber's razor" (as my grandparents called it)

Tried them. it was my first razor and they're crap. They're strops are decent though.
