One of the best features of this site,IMO, is the Reviews Section. There are so many people here with so much knowledge and product experience, I really think our reviews could be expanded further. I wondered if an area could be established where we could request reviews of specific products and if someone out there has some firsthand knowledge they could write a review. I think this could help a lot of people.
While this isn't a specific feature of the reviews forum/section I do think that we already have this in an informal sense. Just try asking people if they know about "product x" (in the forum best suited to product x, of course - we want things to stay organized) and if anybody has anything to say, they'll tell you... and if you have specific questions, people will typically answer those as well.
I guess the question is, do we need to formalize this process?

You actually make a good point, Jim... B&B'ers are always ready to offer an opinion of produxt X and it's competition products Y and Z...

I think this is a great idea. In fact, I'd be willing to handle the requests for reviews if you wanted to be hands-off. Then all you or I would need to do is open a thread RFR (Request for Review) in the general forum and ask that it be a sticky.

Joe, Awesome, I hope we can get this going soon! Joe, if you're up to it, I really like what you've suggested, I hope it can be put into practice. But I wonder if it were in the general forum, wouldn't it clutter it up with all the stickies? Would it be easier in a subforum? Just a thought, I could be way off though. (usually am )
Thanks

It would probably be easier/better as a sub-forum, but we've got a better chance of obtaining implentation with less "involvement" as far as a coding standpoint. stickies are easy to do, (assuming the mod of the forum is ok with it)

Well,
If no objections, I guess Joe and I are going to start doing this. Buddy I hope it works out. I like the idea.

I'm going to start a thread in the General forum for requests. Let's see how it goes, then we can get a sticky.
