Str8 Razor Storage

Newbie here,
Just wondering if after shaving, rinsing, air dry etc. Should I leave the razor opened or closed for daily storage. Thanks in advance for any useful advice.

after it is completely dry I would close it, less chance of something happening to the blade that way or anyone who tries to pick it up, if you are using it again within a week anyhow it should be fine at that point, if I am not using one of mine for over a week I usually put a thin coat of oil on it

+1 on the crankymoose comments. If I know that I am not going to be using a blade for a week or more, I will dry it with toilet tissue, use a blow dryer to make sure there is no moisture at the hinge and coat it with some oil to ensure no oxidation occurs.

I usually try and keep it open at least an hour but not more. There is too much of a chance my wife will come buy and throw something on the counter without looking or caring.

Thank you, for the info. So opened or closed there will be no damage or warping of the scales unless the wife decides to go to my razor chest and start rattleing it around:biggrin:
