It seems that we are all using the wrong shaving equipment. The new gold standard in shaving has arrived:

I'm gettin' me one.

I've used 1 of the cheap battery powered foil shavers and they do okay if you shave every day, but they don't last very long.
Mine had the foil come apart from the frame.

I've heard that chlorine is a soothing aftershave.

I love that they put the guy in the pool with it, barber fresh shaven no less, and he comes up clean shaven. That's amazing! It can leave a clean shave on an already cleanly shaven face? I must have one now.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.....

Maybe it could be used to shave the hair off a peach before you eat it too????

Funny thing is that some of the guys are going back and forth on the you tube comments about whether or not it is a quality shaver.
By the way, all of the actors were BBS probably from a DE or Straight prior to shooting the commerical

I'm getting one. I've always wanted to sit at my desk in a suit and read the WSJ while shaving.

Oh, gosh, guys...remember the intro to "Mannix (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUzN7e6kN-w)" in the 60s, where there's a clip of Mike Connors shaving while driving (when he wasn't on his car radio-phone...talk about ahead-of-his-time negative role-models!). THAT was the downfall of proper shaving...predating the first twin-blade Gillette by, I don't know, two or three years?

I always seem to get crappy razors like this every Christmas. I have no idea why. Everyone knows I hate electric razors!

That was one funny ass scene of the guy shaving in the pool though.

You can even shave while on fire!

WOW! Is it just me or did anyone notice the guys that were shaving looked as if they had already shaved?!

I just love it when these shaving commercials show guys who have shaved 5 minutes before they actually do the commercial. This is probably another POS like that roller whatever it was which is attracting all sorts of low self esteem teens.

Cheap electric foils are pretty decent shavers actually.

For it to work, like Bob said, you need to shave daily because they only work on stubble - and you really need to hit every hair ATG to get smooth; but you will be smooth if you do.

That said, there's nothing novel about this product. Electric foils are electric foils and I find the cheap drugstore variety with the the contoured heads to be the best - because they do the same job as the most expensive.

But when I used an electric it took nearly 24 hours to actually shave my face - I get bored after the first 20 minutes...

Can I shave with it while playing tennis? How about while I'm having sex? Would that work?

I saw this commercial a few days ago and burst out laughing when the guy "shaved" underwater. And I also did notice that everyone in the commercial was already clean-shaven to begin with!

I just LOVE ridiculous commercials for crap like this!!!

Have you seen the commercial for the "Snuggie"? It is a blanket with big sleeves sewn on the front, so you can use your arms while being covered with a blanket - that's the selling point, anyway... not a horrible idea, really, but when they start trying to make "regular" blankets look totally obsolete, that's when I start laughing. The look of utter frustration on the lady's face when she has to pull her arm out from under the blanket in order to answer the phone - now that's priceless.

Don't you guys think you're being a bit hard on this POS...uh I mean nifty electric shaving implement. I mean honestly, you just never know when you'll be called on to shave while completely submerged in a swimming pool

I have to admit before learning how to shave the right way, I used a few similar to this from time to time. They did OK when I was young, but as the beard became thicker and more coarse things like this weren't an option. As the years went on I kept a small battery powered electric in my desk as a back up for emergency situations. I can't do that anymore either. Now I have a '49 SS a cheap brush and several sample sized creams in my desk for those emergency/back up situations.

I was in Walgreen's today to get some GEM SEs for my recently acquired MicroMatic. I just had to check out the "As Seen on TV" shelf. Damn, it was hard to resist buying the MicroForce. I though about it, but was worried that then I'd never get to use the GEM or would never need to use my Aristocrat again.

Ahhh... the Micro Farce Razor!

Quick thought- at 1:05 when they show the marrying of cartridge and electric razor- did anyone notice that's a Personna Triflexxx razor with a ladies Sensor Excel cartridge on it? I wonder if they had to pay any royalties to ASR.

I know, I'm a geek.

This commercial is hysterical! I love it when they try to make everyday actions seem nearly impossible.
