Got this vintage Zodiac on the Bay a few weeks back. It looks like it was never worn. Even the box is in perfect shape. I love watches more than razors

Strange to me how many people consider the black and gray as the Bond strap, when it's actually the one you show here. A hat tip to you sir.

Thanks-- I agree 100%. Before Blue-Ray and High Def, I can understand...but now it is pretty obvious the Connery strap was a little more complex than just gray and black. More interesting visually, too, I think.

I like it. :thumbup1:

My guess would be seconds for the upper right clock.

Using my CSI ENHANCE skills doesn't seem to work quite like on TV. But I guess it could also be a really, really small date indicator, but I doubt it.

I know most folks don't care for Movado but I'm adamant that whatever I wear has a clean and simple design. No offense to the diver/submariner/chrono guys. I just can't hack wearing a busy watch. So the Museum Watch style or that Stowa are perfect for me.
Rado, they are the best. I own the Florence model, and the mens Cerix. They are scratch proof, water proof, and always look brand new. They DO NOT MARK!!!!

I got one soon after they came out and there seemed to be a brief price anomoly on Amazon - I paid about $300 for a Ti case and black rubber strap which is what I wanted. The more recent ones look a bit cluttered IMO - lots of hash marks on the bezel.

It's a decent watch, nice and light. The rubber can get a bit sticky in hot weather.

That's a beauty - do the pushers operate the red hand as a chrono?

It is a very early and very crude movement. The pushers actually stop the whole movement and restart it. I think that these were quite a common type of movement as they could be marketed as having a chronograph function whilst remaining cheap.

It is certainly a very interesting watch.

Loving that ^^^ Datejust. So classy, and timeless. Gotta love the jubilee bracelet also.

Wearing this one again as I have just got a new bund strap for her and I think it is a superb strap for the watch.

That Rolex is exactly like mine. You provided a much better picture, though. And my acrylic crystal is showing several scratches after 28 years of almost constant wear.

No, wait, it is not exactly like mine. Mine has a fluted bezel.

The last time I had mine serviced, it was over $300. I have heard that it is about $600, now. And, that is if no major problems are found.

If you have any interest, Rolex might be able to replace the acrylic crystal with a sapphire crystal, which is more resistant to scratches. Nice watch, nonetheless :thumbup1:

The beautiful thing about plexiglass, apart from it's inherent warmth, is the fact that when it gets a little scratched you can polish the scratches out with a little polywatch. Easy to do and makes a plexiglass look lie brand new again.

I finally took some pics of the watches I have... so far.

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l274/Cybrok/DSC05520.jpg

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l274/Cybrok/DSC05522.jpg

First the Seiko. I really like that watch. The one I wear the most. I bought titanium because of steel allergies, so far no irritation whatsoever.

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l274/Cybrok/DSC05524.jpg

Second a submariner hommage. I know next to nothing about this watch. I bought it second hand on watchuseek, it's sterile, have no idea of the movement. Mounted it on a bund (german army I think, the one with the long code on the back) because of the previously mentionned allergies. I got this one as a field watch, but it's so nice I wear it in the city too.

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l274/Cybrok/DSC05526.jpg

And finally my good old swiss army watch. A little uncomfortable on the wrist though.

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l274/Cybrok/DSC05527.jpg

Seriously I had this watch for about 5 years because I couldn't afford a titanium watch. Served me well but I don't really use it anymore. Yes it's one hour late because I didn't wear it since I changed time zone. I changed the battery once in 5 years.

Yes, 24mm lugs. I use a wood block padded with rubber mat, and a Velcro strap to secure the watch when doing strap changes, so that everything is controlled and steady, as in a jeweller's shop. And there isn't one single scratch from all of my strap changes.

This watch is also the absolute bomb on Nato and Zulu (my fav) straps.

2006 Marathon TSAR, on a black Maratac Zulu 4 buckle

if not that then a Casio skx Auto with pepsi bezel on a black Maratac Zulu 4 buckle, or a St. Moritz Black M1 on a Maratac Nato Strap

Now here is a classic that Mr. Racine can be proud of! Sea Shell-sunken dial and that padded leather band really compliments the watch well. Good Show, Andrew.

Thanks... it was a gift from my father when my parents split up. I was way too young to wear or appreciate it (few 10 year olds need a large automatic chronograph). I found it a few months ago looking through some boxes of old childhood junk and it was working perfectly! I replaced the old rubber seals on it for around $30 but otherwise it needed nothing.

No battery... its an automatic mechanical watch. Wear it and it winds itself.

And for Casual Friday I have a Tag Kirium Ti5 Chronograph on (complete with custom painted white hands since I could never see the plain metal ones against the carbon fibre face)....

Yes, I get many positive comments on this watch. Anonimo is not a brand you see everyday. Most of their watches are Black dials, so when you see one with an Orange dial it is somewhat rare. I bought this watch to wear to Clemson sports events :thumbup1:

I love the Anonimo line, would love to have one one day. Today, I am wearing my new (to me) Doxa 750 Sub Pro GMT, that I just acquired today in a trade for an older Seamaster I bought many years ago.

Bright orange (wife hates that) and internal bezel controlled by the crown at 2 0'clock. Nice piece, 2893 ETA, a solid movement. Comes with an orange unused diver's strap and strap change tool.

Best,

C

Thanks Kevan. It is a classic Marc Newson design. I like the back almost as much as the front.
I know it is a little dirty but it's only because it is so well loved.

Nice stuff guys. I'll be getting either a Sea Shark or a Nixon Rotolog with the dark wood band, funky but a cool watch.
