This is a Shouhonyama Maruichi Top grade finishing hone from the Nakayama Quarry.

It is no longer brand NEW and has seen two blades touch its surface.

It is a finishing hone and would do well to top off your honing for a super keen edge on your razor.

The dimensions are as follows:

Left side 95mm
Top side 70mm
Right side 90 mm
Bottom side 55 mm
Thickness 20mm

****NOTE**** Due to a concern/suspision that these hones are or are not appropriate for razors, I used this hone on two razors. The stone was extremely hard and provided a noticable improvement on both razors. Definately a razor hone as I was assured by the original owner.

FWIIW - I have a Shouhonyama Maruichi and consider it to be a superlative finishing hone. The edges I get off of it are much smoother and sharper than either chromium oxide, blue/green Escher or a Chinese natural.
