Heres the deal. I had a C&E Best Badger and it served me well but didnt even last a year until the glue broke down and the knot fell out. This happened this morning. I am in a bind now as I am headed to Afghanistan very soon and I need to buy a new brush but dont wanna spend a bunch of money right now since I had to buy a bunch of new gear. Does anyone have a decent brush they could PIF or sell me cheap, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, any Nancy Boy products to be had? I wanna try them while I am over there to see how they react with my face in that environment. Thanks!

Grab yourself an Omega Boar brush, if you have the time, use it, and blowdry it daily.
The brush is cheap enough to be able to abuse, and not be out major money if it gives up the ghost.
The blowdrying hastens the break in, by splitting the ends. Mine is almost a year old, and just about as soft as a BBB.

I'd be willing and honored to PIF one to you. I have an extra knot from golden nib, but I'd have to turn a handle for it. When do you leave?

You are a great person ssilcox. Army brat here, and my dad was career for 28 years. He is still very involved with things including greeting troups at airports, coordinating awards banquets, etc. It's great to know that there are people out there like yourself willing to do something like this...

A truly great PIF. Here's tou you, ssilcox!
Huskyibe - My former next-door neighbor was a WWII and Korean War Vet (Air Force and Army, respectively). He passed a couple years ago. Long ago, he taught me to thank vetrans and those in the armed forces. Your sacrifice and hard work provides all Americans with our liberties and freedom. Be safe, shave well. Thank you for your service.
Cheers,
Tom

The one thing you didn't get quite right is that the American armed forces have brought the blessings of liberty and democracy to uncounted millions of people in many countries around the world not just to Americans.
It's inadequate for me to say this, but thank you for your service.

WOW!!!!! That is a thing of beauty. Than you from the bottom of my heart. And thanks to teh rest of you for teh well wishes. I dont do this for the glory etc I do it because I love this country and I feel I have an obligation to do something a lot of people dont get a chance to do. Thanks to this great community for all that you guys do, I have seen more random acts of kindness here than any other forum I am a member of and I am proud to be a member here.
