I normally use my Mach 3 and shave in the shower (which I did before getting a DE) on Sundays due to time constraints. However, this morning I reached for the Merkur Long Handle. It wasn't until I had whipped up some nice lather, put it on my face and reached for the razor that I realized I had the Long Handle. Obviously it took longer to shave, but I had a really good one this morning. :biggrin1:

So, with being behind schedule already, I thought I would post and see if there where any others who shave with their DEs in the shower.

Thanks and have a good day!

It takes me 30 minutes to shave, I'd be a prune by the time I made it out of the shower!

I've tried, but I find its easier having more counter space, and I can never see my face in those shower mirrors.

I used to occasionally shave in the shower when I used a Mach 3, but somehow it doesn't appeal to me to do so with the DE. I think it would just take the fun out of it; also I'm much more particular about my shaves now...

Bad place to slip and fall or for the DE to fall out of your hand-then it would become an exercise in getting out of the way of cold, hard steel looking for soft man-flesh.

I never did shave in the shower when I was using the Mach 3. I didn't have one of those mirrors that you could put in the shower. On the other hand, my sisters, who did, were constantly leaving their razor in the shower where the soap goes.

No thanks.:thumbdown. I agree with Marty. I need all 10 of my toes right where they are, attatched.

Back in my multi-blade razor days I always thought that the idea of shaving in the shower sounded appealing. For many years this was out of the question as I couldn't see past the end of my nose in the shower. After I had laser eye surgery I could see well enough to shave in the shower, but I could never find a mirror that really worked.

Now that I am going DE, I no longer want to shave in the shower. Mixing lather in a bowl, applying the lather, letting in soak-in, and reapply the lather would never work that well in the shower.

Cheers,
