Hi fellas,

I'm looking for a reliable online merchant for fine pens. I know exactly what pen I want, but would like to see if I can find it any way cheaper than full retail price.

Thanks in advance.

I have bought several pens from fountainpenhospital.com. Pricing is competitive and service is great.

http://www.swisherpens.com/ for new pens and ink
http://www.swisherpens.com/ for used pens, repairs, and custom work.

Has anyone used pengallery.com before? I'm just hesitant since they're based out of Malaysia.

Thanks,

Dennis what pen are you looking for?

If it's a pen Pam at Oscarbraunpens carries, her prices can't be beat. I have bought several pens from her.

Isellpens.com is another pen seller that has very good prices, and Todd the owner gets much Praise, although I have never bought from him.

I have not bought from pengallery.com before, so I can't say anything about them.

I'm looking for the Dupont Olympio (or also known as the Orpheo) placed lacquer fountain pen in a fine nib.

I've had good experiences with pencity.com and altmanluggage.com, in addition to swisherpens.

Fountain Pen Network is a friendly forum that will give you some good tips on this.

montgomerypens also sells on ebay, with some auction items (not buyitnow) selling for well below MSRP. Great seller.

+1 for Richard's Pens.

What he sells can be had at lower prices elsewhere, but what I like about his shop is that he tests each pen before it goes out to make sure the nib is working properly. He is a nibmeister, so you can be sure you have a working instrument.
