I have come across members mentioning products as being "part of my rotation". Are they farmers or is this some Californian fancy that will eventually catch on...someone explain please.

This simply means that we have more than one soap and/or cream in use or "going" at the same time. i.e. - I may enjoy T&H Grafton on Monday, GFT Limes on Tuesday, Proraso Red on Wed. etc. etc.

Hi Antdad, welcome to B&B. If you're like many of us, pretty soon you'll want to be trying a variety of options in shaving creams and soaps, razors, blades, brushes, etc., and instead of using the same one every day, you will rotate through them using a variety, depending on your preference or mood, or other factors. That helps make it enjoyable and interesting.

"Variety is the spice of life".
Also, I probably have a 30+ year supply of soaps, creams, and stuff in use. My New Years resolution was to not buy any shaving stuff for TWO years.

And how is that going Sir John? Of course we are only 28 days into your goal of 365 times 2!

So far, so good. But come Jan 1, 2011 I'll be in the market for a Sheraton. :w00t:

And for the SWMBO in your life :glare: , a heavy rotation can also be very useful, its known as the classic " The Bait & Switch". Heavy rotation can confuse them by making it hard to determine what is new or just simply being rotated thereby throwing off their inventory count. You''ll see. :wink2:. Dont kid yourself. :biggrin1:

The definition of rotation: "I have so much shaving gear it makes my head spin."

Soaps and creams are one thing... just wait till you get a brush rotation going. That's when things get really fun :thumbup1:
I try to keep my supply of soaps and creams down to about two year's worth. The hardware on the hand has no limits! I'll acquire what I want when I see it.

How often do you rotate? Daily, weekly, arbitrarily?
