Which to choose..? Help me out.

Hi Guys.
I am not using a brush,cream or soap yet, i am gathering information about the different soaps, creams and brushes.

So far, i have decided to go for the Edwin jagger "best badger" medium sized brush.:001_smile

But when it comes to soap and cream, i'm not sure wich to choose:confused:??

Could someone please explain me the pro's and con's :thumbup1:?

Please bare in mind that i'm a newbie from Denmark, so not to many "BIG" words!! :blush:

Lars- soap vs. cream is really a preference issue. I think there are some of us that gravitate to creams initially because that's what they have been using for years in its canned goo form. A lot of people gravitate to soap because that's what they associate with the whole wetshaving process. Some switch from one to another. Some just buy a ton of both and pick randomly. I would recommend that you get a cream and a soap and see which fits you better (of course, you may find you love both). There are plenty of good options available in Europe and you can check the review sections about some that you see in your stores. European members will also come along and probably provide some recommendations for you as well. I wouldn't stress out to much about soap or cream. Pick what you want and give it a try. If you don't like it, you can eventually sell it on B/S/T. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I am a soap guy don't really know why I never tried creams like MaineCaneFan said I think it's because soap is what I think of when I think of the whole wet shaving process there are several wonderful soaps out there and many I have yet to try, I am finding out that the home made and smaller companies make some of the best soaps just my two cents

Being a starter usability is key. There may be good procuts which you can buy locally. If you want to buy online there's a great share of German artisan soapers. One of the places which I can recommend is www.olivia-seife.de The [WM] editions are beginner friendly and IMO the creams are top notch. There's also a brush (brand: Bock, 15€) which has been praised by the German wet shaving community http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
