Hi, tonight was my first experience wet-shaving. All I have to say is that I have a new found respect for all that use this traditional method of mens grooming. The experience was great it was like my first time shaving allover again. Its one of those things that you try to look like you know what your doing when you really dont. Eventhough my face is tingleing and burns slightly I did learn alot, along with becoming hooked on DE shaving. I look forward to learning from all on the site.

I hope you had better luck below the jaw line than I did today on my first attempt!

Today was my first as well! I really enjoyed it.
Tell us about what you used, would you?
What razor?
Soap or cream?
What blade?
Brush?

Bravo!
In the morning will be my first attempt at it. I can hardly wait! All of my stuff came in today via UPS. It is unpacked, setup and ready to go; now I just need the stuble.
Congrats to ya.

I saved up on the stubble for a few days awaiting my starters kit from Lee's. Im very happy with the kit. I have the HD razor, best badger brush, and the Truefitt and Hill 1805 shave cream. Im using the stock blade right now but will be switching to Red Personna's before the sample pack comes from west coast.

Nice work. You realize that becoming hooked on DE shaving means that you will become hooked on the items associated with DE shaving- creams, soaps, aftershaves, brushes, razors. Even if you don't need them, you'll be buying them soon enough. Welcome aboard.
Congradulations on your first DE shave!

Welcome aboard!
Welcome,
Hope you won't have the line I got today: "What? You're not shaving again??"
and I wasn't... I was just looking at the Speick body lotion sample I got...
Cheers, Luc

Welcome Scooter. As time goes on, the need for blood transfusions from DE shaves does become less and less frequent.
