Happened across a conversation where a coworker was wondering what to buy her boyfriend for his birthday. Suggested a brush and soap. I wonder if she'll take my advice.

Yeah, I'd say the same thing. I am a member of another hobbyist forum (saltwater fish). I thought for sure that once I waxed poetic about the benefits of wetshaving I'd have a whole club full of converts. Not so.

For whatever reason, people just dont get the whole wetshaving thing yet.

That "yet" might be a bit optimistic.

I've been hesitant to "out" myself as a wetshaver, mainly because I don't think anyone would care. My wife thinks I spend way too long shaving, but she will admit that my face looks a lot better since I switched to a DE and a brush.

But my buddies don't know what they're missing. Oh well...

I mentioned on another forum once and gave a link to B&B, but didn't have a single response....Oh well, can't say I didn't try! :001_smile

Don't feel like spreading the word doesn't work; I found this place (and wetshaving) from suggestions made on another forum. I don't think I went back and responded to the original thread, because I just came here. That might be the case with others as well... I know I try to mention it whenever it seems germane to a conversation, either online or in person. A few people have been mildly interested, but no converts yet - although I have my father using a brush and C.O. Bigelow now instead of Edge Sensitive Skin gel.

It really seems it would catch on with a lot of people. I have women tell me that they think it's sexy. I do think wet shaving supplies would make an excellent gift for someone who has never tried it.

I got into it (and found this place) from this thread (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=772013&page=1) on a firearms forum I frequent. I think we've made a few other converts as well because of it.
