Hey Dirty Harry fans ... I gots to know!

Spurred on by the recent "Eastwood is cool" thread, I'd like to know your preference for "feeling lucky" scenes ... the bank robber who makes a safe decision or the insane Scorpio who makes an unhealthy one. Which scene do you consider 'the classic' and why?

Although the Scorpio scene is appealing I voted for the bank robber scene. It's a nice climax without having Harry to shoot in the end.

But what's most interesting and well-written is the fact that Harry's somehow prepared for whatever the situation at hand needs, he himself is lucky to have a final round for Scorpio (and not having one when he pulls the trigger on the bank robber).

I'll go for the bank robber... I think the monologue is more clever when he's just toying with the guy, knowing full well he's empty. Indeed there's more tension with Scorpio, in that its obvious he's far more likely than the robber to go for the gun, but the "in all this excitement..." line is better delivered in front of the bank and I tend to think the whole bit works better when its more of a b***h slap than a genuine dare.

Oh, and "I gots to know!" seals the deal.

The Bank Robber, it was way better the first time around when you were still being introduced to the character of Dirty Harry and weren't sure exactly what kind of a guy you were going to be dealing with.
