Out of this group of razor lovers, there must be some knife guys out there. How about descriptions or pix of your favorite knife?

Mine is a Keith Coleman custom. It has a phantom damascus blade and bolsters, mastadon ivory handles, file work on the blade and backstrap, and titanium liners.

How bout it, any others?

I've been wanting to get a nice tactical/pocket knife for some time now. I just haven't had the time.

I've seen the Frost Cutlery knives on TV (Cutlery Corner Network). They look nice and the prices are pretty good. Anybody has any experience with Frost Cutlery knives?

Frost has been around since 1978. They are a good knife company, not really known for their tactical knives. If you want an excellent knife, check out Chris Reeve knives. A little pricey but man, are they tough.

Likewise!! My everyday carry is an African blackwood handled Sebenza. You just can't get a better knife for the money in my opinion.

Very cool looking little bugger. I was about to mention that there are some videos floating around of a small knife maker showing the effectiveness of his knives on slabs of meat, but I noticed that there are meat tests on that website as well. With some momentum and a human body behind one of those suckers, they can be devastating.

Is there more than one manufacturer for these knives? What's the average price for one of these?

the teenager in me says 'knives are cool'. i've had a few nifty blades, one from crt, a few from gerber, others i can't remember. i like half serrated blades and their ability to grind through the tough stuff.

i just can't see spending over $50 on one, especially when you run the chance of losing it (unless you keep it mounted in a case on your wall).

She has several famous knifemakers that she collaborates with. Short form = she cuts the blanks and then sends them to various knifemakers for completion.

She has several 'standard' forms of this type of knife. When you order, you can state that you don't care who makes the knife (fastest way) or you can specify which knifemaker creates your individual piece (takes longer dependant on the knifemakers schedule). Each knifemaker adds his own 'touch' to the standard model, so maker "A's" knife will be different from maker "B". The prices differ and are stated on the web-site. She also has some "Utility" HAK's. These are less money as they are mass produced by a large manufacturer (no-one knows who). They are less expensive, about $60 bucks, and are a great deal. The two shown above in my first post are made by Ken Brock and the curvy one is made by Jim Coogler. The one shown below is by Tom Krein.

For pocket tactical's I personally go on ebay and buy benchmade auto's at half price.
