Currently using a Wilkinson Sword Classic DE razor and blades. (Although my wife has bought me a Merkur Vision for Xmas).
I start with using a soap free face wash and scrub. Then I use some sort of shave cream, either Clinique or aveda.
Steaming hot water and a flannel to help open the pores is essential.
Finished off with a scruffing lotion, after shave balm and face cream.
I am a recent convert to DE shaving although I didn't know it was called DE until I came across this site. I have always used either a cartridge razor or occasionally an electric razor until now. Boy what a difference, seriously I didn't know shaving could be this good and I'm still using a cheapy Wilkinson Sword, I'm hoping that once I start using a Merkur Vision it will take it to another level.
Apart from a great shave I like the fact that when it comes to throwing away a spent blade it's only cost me a few pence rather then pounds (or dollars). I feel like I'm getting one over on Gillette with their Fusion nuclear powered razor with 78 blades each one guaranteed to cut you to ribbons and the strips designed to end up in a gloopy mess.
Sorry about the rant. seriously though unless they bring out a cartridge razor that will make me my morning coffee then I'm never switching back.
What are your hobbies and favorite activities?
Motorbikes, I have a Buell Firebolt and a Kawasaki ZX6R at the moment.
Running and going to the gym.

I'm married to Louise and we have a cat called Simba. The heirarchy seems to be wife, cat and then me. I'm not sure how that happened though!!!
