You probably paid about the same as I did for ONE (used) bowl of T&H Luxury. As far as I'm concerned, they are one and the same.
And yet, inquiring minds want to know ... what ARE you going to do with all that soap?

one puck usually lasts me about 6 months, so im set for a good while.
im one of the few who really like williams. it was all i shaved with for my first 6 years of wetshaving. plus ive come to the point where i just want a couple simple soaps, so i settled on plain melt and pour soap and williams.

So what did that cost you, fifty cents?
That's the way I used to get Colonel Conk before finding B&B. My wife used to buy me $50 worth, (the minimum order from Conk at the time), every time I got low.
If I had 36 pucks of Williams, I wouldn't have to buy any shower soap for a while, because I wouldn't be shaving with it. But, I just couldn't look forward to three years worth of that stuff.

+1
I have to envy you guys that can pick up a soap that works great for you for under a buck.

About 18 years' worth of good while, if my math is correct. That's an awfully long time to use just 1 product, no matter what product it is. Sure you won't get bored?

Williams was what I started with. I like it, too, and recommend it to newbies (along with VDH.) Although some may argue, the Williams' smell is pleasant, and mixes well with any ASL, ASB or EdC you want to put on top of it. The shaving is consistently good, and of course, you can't argue about the price!
I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting when I got the T&H Luxury, but as soon as I opened it, I was reminded of Williams. It looks the same, smells the same, lathers the same, and shaves the same.
Why does the T&H cost so much, then? Its got to be that wooden bowl.

ive been trying to narrow my soap(s) down to "as simple as possible" for about 7 months now. between this and melt and pour soap, i couldnt be happier. i have never wanted to try any high end soaps for some reason. i am a simple man

Dave's plan for world domination:
1. Order 36 pucks of Williams.
2. ????????????
3. World domination.

I shaved with Williams this morning. My Grandfather used it, and I always think of him when I use it. It is a decent soap, but there are others that I like much better, including VDH Deluxe, but especially Honeybee.

i like honeybee a lot, but i gave williams the green light mainly b/c of price and something most people complain about: lather. i get really good lather with it.

For glycerin soaps, Honeybee Spa soaps are really high up there.

+1 :biggrin:Rather enjoy Williams for the shower. Don't care for it as a shaving soap.

If it really did, I don't think anyone would buy the T&H. Your perception is saving you money. For me, there is a huge difference.

I was looking at the stock market today, and noticed that Williams' stock spiked and that there's a rumor about a hostile take over from some guy who won't shave with anything less than a century old.
