Makes me want to try. Tell me he's suppressing massive razor burn pain behind that smile.

Nope...he's not in pain. The guy in the video, Willi is just good with that razor, as it belonged to his grandfather, and he's used it for some time.
I'm not omnipresent...this has just been discussed here before.

If you notice in parts of his shave he's using a 90 degree angle and in most of his shave he's using a very steep angle.

SCRAAAAaaaaaape!...
Whew! That sound just makes my face burn. If I tried to take long swipes like that with any razor I have, especially with that much beard growth, I'd need to make a preliminary call to 911.
Looks like he got himself a shave, though, by golly! :w00t:

In the wintertime, I finish off like he did. Just towel off any residual lather and slap on aftershave or balm. Any traces of soap or shaving cream helps to keep my face from irritating or drying out.
In the summertime, I rinse off real good with cold water then apply a/s or balm.

I can't quit thinking about that video!
Every time I take out a straight razor, I think about SCRAAAAAAAaaaape...going from the edge of my nose, through my beard, down my chin to my throat.
I guess that's why I had a little irritation on my neck the other day. I was probably thinking I was Willi and being too cocky!
If I tried that, it would be a classic case of famous last hick words: "Hey, y'all watch this!"

I do enjoy watching that video. It looks like he got a great shave! I wonder what kind of stuff "grows" under his goatee?
