Goin to be out shopping with the wife at a major outlet (Woodbury Commons, Harriman, NY) and they have a L'Occitane store there. Any recommendations for someone with oily/combo skin as far as mosturizers, eye creme, soaps, etc.? Thanks!

Lets us know if they have the soap and bowl. It's $34 in the stores.

Only been to one once but the salesperson chatted my ear off about everything in the store and gave away free samples like it was candy. Afraid I couldn't help with a recommendation, but if my experience was any barometer the sales staff should be very helpful.

LOVE the product descriptions there, it's like J. Peterman or something.

Their aftershave balm is one of the best available, period. $28 for a tube and worth every penny. Best of breed, IMO.

They'll probably give you samples if requested. Also, their CADE shave soap is superb. Recommended.

edit: Avoid their Shave cream in the tube, though. It is truly sub-par at any price, and a disappointment considering that their other products are outstanding.

Thanks. I have enough creams and soaps. Will try the asb and their mosturizer.

Another thread noted that the bowl is/will be discontinued. So you might want to pick one up if they stock it and you like it.

Cade ASB is super indeed. Dunno how it works out with oily skin though. Using just a little with on a wet skin (for a bit of dilution) might work out fine. The cade soap is nice as well.

I like their Eau des Baux Stick Deodorant. It is free of parabens and aluminum salt, has a great smell, and it lasts the whole day, at least for me.

You can have a look here: http://usa.loccitane.com/FO/Catalog/Product.aspx?prod=20DO075BX.

While I've just used some samples recently, I really like both the ASB and CADE moisturizer.

I think the ASB is more suited to folks with dry skin and/or cold weather, as its on the heavier side and has lots of shea butter (which I think is great stuff).

The moisturizer seems very good and I'm actually considering getting a tub of this when I'm next in the US, as it sells for CAD$60 (about US$48.50) and never goes on sale vs. $35 in US stores and you can often find it on sale. I think the moisturizer would be suitable for all types of skin.

The Anti-Fatigue gel (which I've not tried) would also be a good candidate for oily /combo skin.

Picked up the Cade youth moisturizer and some travel sizes of their ASB, Tree Bark Scrub and some olive oil eye balm. No shave soaps as this was an outlet store and it is hard to get.

My wife picked up a sandalwood shea butter soap that I think is one of the most moisturizing. They also have a pretty good moisturizer on their Cade product line. Try and get as many samples as you can they are pretty generous and helpful at the stores I been to. The Cade soap and ASB are some of the best shave products you can pick up in a B&M IMHO

I had previously bought the shave soap and vetyver. Excellent products. This week I bought the Cade after shave. It is also and excellent product but I was very dissapointed with the cap. It is made of very thin metal that distorts very easily and does not thread well on the bottle. I think eventually the thinness of the cap will render it useless to seal the lotion in the bottle. I will not buy anything from them with such poor caps on them. I ordered online. :mad3:

I was at a L'Occitane store in Chicago over Thanksgiving weekend. I was impressed with the Eau des Baux EDT. I wish I could have picked up a few things from there but had already purchased some T&H products a few floors up.
