Does anyone have any pointers on keeping sideburns even and lined up?
A spirit level?
Just joking, I just try to keep my head as level as possible in front of the mirror. Unfortunately my ears aren't lined up exactly, making it a bit harder.

I just use an electric trimmer for sideburns.

What I do is look straight in the mirror and put my straighten index fingers at the the bottom of each sideburn, so that the nail is just touching the bottom. This helps me keep them at an even length.

I do the same, but I add the 'measuring' to the front tip and then the back tip of the sideburn to make sure they angle the same. I find that after about a week of shaving, the slant of one starts to differ from the other hard as I try to keep 'em even visually.
This also takes away the visual illusion my different ear height gives me.

Yep, I do the same. You need to keep head straight to check length then the width and angle. I use a beard trimmer to keep them tidy.

I haven't thought of doing that... it makes sense.

Hopfully one ear is not lower than the other!
I do the same thing. I even them up with electric hair clippers, then use the safety razor.

use a mirror and a level to line up, and trim with an injector.

Mine just get shorter and shorter as I shave. Luckily they seem to go at the same rate...

I wear "mutton chop" style sideburns, and they are ridiculously easy to keep even. I shave one razor width on either side of my mouth, and I don't shave my jawline. I start on the neck. Then I do my chin and upper lip, and I'm done. Perfect chops every time.
