Cologne matching with Aqua Velva?

Hi everybody!

This now makes three weeks that I'm into DE shaving, which I love. I also used for the first time spash AS, and I really like the smell and freshness of Aqua Velva. However, the smell last only an hour or two and I did not find any cologne that would match with it... Do you have any idea of a great cologne/perfume that would be a perfect match?

You've already noticed the scent of AV does not last. Meaning you can use pretty much whatever cologne you enjoy without worry. I can think of no cologne that matches AV, but in the end it doesn't matter.

Joanna (http://www.theshaveden.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=134) over at TSD has formulated an Aqua Velva type fragrance which has received the accolades of several AV-heads there. You can get that in an EdT for ten bucks.

I've never worried about it, the scent from the AV dies down rather quickly.

Unless I missed something, I believe the OP likes the smell of AV and is trying to find a clogne to match it. If you are really patient, you sometimes can find NOS AV cologne on Ebay. It will usually be part of a set containing the aftershave and cologne.

Or you could jump over to The Shave Den and ask Joanna to whip you up a bottle of her AV cologne.........................

in the meantime, just carry a spritzer of AV AS around with you all day, and spray it on yourself when you feel your aura weakening.
