I bought some Dominica Bay Rum aftershave last weekend and really enjoy the scent. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long on me (few products do it seems :frown: ). Has anyone found a BR cologne that matches well with the Dominica? All of the Dominica products on CS say they are A/S strength. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not that this is what you're asking, I can tell you that Pinaud bay rum smells very nice and lasts about 6 hours on my skin. I applied it at 7am and at 11:15 I can still smell it very distinctly.

Thanks Russ, I've been looking for Pinaud BR as well, but have not been able to find it locally. I have the Pinaud Lilac and it is one of the few items that lasts for me. I'll keep my eys open for the their BR or have a vendor throw a bottle into my next on line order.

No prob. It's so cheap that I really had low expectations. I last smelled this around 1pm, which confirms that it was exactly a 6 hour run.

BTW Russ, how are you liking those Bill Ellis razors (your avatar)? I got #3 and I'm loving it. I save it for my Saturday night shaves so I have lots 'o time to spend with it.

Hey Jordan, yes, I love it! I actually bought two, but sent one back (#2 Gorgeous ironwood scales and a bit of extra hone wear) to Bill. The one in the avatar (#8) is the one I still have. I just couldn't get a good shave with #2.

The big wedge is great, though. These razors are so unresponsive, they give you no feedback on what you're doing until you're done, so it's really a great challenge, and fun. I find that I instinctively want to apply too much pressure and if I do I end up with big razor burn. I'm getting better at it though, it's more of a learning curve than hollow razors, and that's probably why they stopped making them!

In exchange for the one I sent back, Bill's going to send me another next time they come out... I can't wait!

Yeah, mine's a half hollow, so I do get some feedback. Enjoy

I bought some Pinualds BR at an Eckard's pharmacy. I think I've also seen it over at CVS.

Thanks Adam, my local CVS and others seem to have the Pinaud vanilla, original, lilac, etc. just not the bay rum. I suppose its hit or miss on what they carry. I'm keeping my eyes open though.

How are the vanilla and lilac? As a point of reference, I intensely dislike regular clubman, but love the bay rum.

I'm not a big fan of vanilla so I never tried it. The Lilac is obviously floral and is very much a "barbershop" or "old man" kind of scent. I like that, but its not for everyone.
