View Full Version : When did ASR stop making GEM razors?
I know a bit about the early history of the GEM razor and the American Safety Razor Company but not much about its later history. When did ASR stop making and marketing the GEM SE razor?

I'm not really sure, but AFAIK, the Contour II was the last model produced.

late 1950s, MAYBE the early 1960s

Dave,
Do you have any idea when the G-Bar was produced? I know the Micromatic was being manufactured in the late 40s, the Featherweight was made in the early 50s, the Push-Button was introduced in 1958, followed by the original contour, and then the Contour II. I just don't know where the G-Bar fits in.
