View Full Version : T&H New Formulations seem runny to anyone?
I just got a tub of T&H Trafalgar and it is really runny, though it makes loads of lather. I have bought them before and never had them be this runny. If it weren't for my 2 year old son I would leave the cap off to evaporate some water, but I'm afraid I'd find his cars or worse in it!
It is so runny that if i tip the tub it will spill out. More like a soft soap, really.
Anyone else have this problem? :confused1

Huh.. Thats a new one. I hope the quality is maintained. This is one of my favorite creams.
I should have also added that color seemed less silver and more blueish to me than the last tub I had.

Humm, i just got a tub of Trafalgar a few weeks back and it seems very firm to me like a cream should be. Not runny at all. Maybe a pic would be a good idea.
As for how blue it is, i dont know as this is my first tub, but i do see a pretty good blue tint.

by any chance was it in a overly warm area? I have had some creams turn runny on really hot days in the summer but usually a few hours with the A/C on frostbite level they are fine, you also try putting it in the fridge a few hours and see it that helps

It seems to be sporadic problem. I got some Grafton last Christmas, which was well after the reformulation period, and the consistency was extremely pleasant. Not a hard, stiff cream like Castle Forbes, nor a soft cold cream consistency. Just a nice firm cream that retains its shape when you dig it out with a finger or spatula. Then I had some Lime cream that was super soft like the cold-cream Taylors had for a while. It all seems to work really nicely though.
Now that I think about it though... Grafton is probably a slower seller than Trafalgar or 1805 so I might have gotten a NOS tub.

I would say the only thing consistent about T+H is that they are inconsistent in the batches with respect to thickness. I have purchased 4 tubs of various scents this past year and not one has been alike. The good new is that it doesn't affect performance, all still are very slick and provide a good cushion. TOBS on the other hand seems to be more standard in the way it is produced.
Here's an Update. I called T&H in Las Vegas, and they are sending me a new tub, and a return label to ship the "Defective" tub back. They didn't even ask where I got the Tub from. I told them I was a member here at B&B and they treated me like royalty.
I can't wait for the new tub to arrive!
