A couple of bricks of pu-erh arrived a month or so ago, which SWMBO understandably regarded with suspicion.
I brewed.
She tasted.
I retendered.
She affirmed.
So far, so good.

Shortly thereafter, a French press was innocuously introduced into the kitchen.
(My kitchen.)
"Do you want coffee?"
"Sure."
... later ...
"Do you want coffee?"
"Sure. Can you make it in that press thingy?"
Wonder if I can sneak in a Solis/Baratza Maestro Plus or Gaggia MDF around the holidays?

Hmmm . . . I'd more wonder if you could get away with not. Buy it as "her Christmas present" and all will be forgiven, I'm sure!

Wouldn't have married her otherwise.

Haha.. hold on to this one! I got my SWMBO hooked on the good java (she's the expert on teas being from China and mad fanatic of Pu-erh). Now if only she'd appreciate my love for all things Star (Trek/Gate/Wars) it would be heaven..:001_rolle

Then she'll have no problem blessing an order of Espresso Adoration from Java Joe (http://www.clubjava.com/). Trust me on this.

How would you see them? Aren't you already blind from smurf's posts? (Or your brief glimpse of Ouch International's video library?:001_rolle)

Aha...but you see the issue here?

It's not that you married the right girl, but rather your girl married the right guy!

There you are slaving away in the kitchen making up tea and fresh French pressed coffee, and then she has you thinking that you're the lucky one?!

Worked as short order cook in high school & college -- lived in the kitchen. If I'm miserable, cooking a nice meal will put a smile on my face.

But here's the thing. She could say that she prefers the paper filter drip. Or tea from bags. But my better half can appreciate the finer things -- without demanding them.
