An Irish Moos soap sample from Ansgar (Oskar) in Germany. At the sight of the flakey,gooey stuff in the plastic wrapper, for a split second, I thought the good man had sent me a -ehh- "sample"... :tongue_sm I was happy to find the glorious IM scent inside!

This guy just showed up. It is a Magnum Prince. Magnum is a division of Boker, which many of you know made some great straights back in the day. It is true 37 layer Damascus, with burlwood scales. I am very happy with it. :D

A Rolls Imperial Number 2 with 2 spare blades (one of them even has its original protective grease still on it and all 3 blades still have their paper slips) a small pot of strop paste, original instructions and sales card all in a pretty tatty, unoriginal wooden box.

All 3 blades are in wonderful condition, no nicks and very smooth edges and the 2 spare blade boxes are in perfect condition as is the bakelite paste pot. I can't wait to get it all cleaned up and give it a try out.

I paid £32 for it which I don't think it too bad at all.

My Ogallala sampler arrived on Thursday. My wife and I traveled to Seattle for a concert Thursday night, spent the next day walking around Pikes Place Market. Happened upon an antiques mall where I picked up the razors. For anyone interested it was at the corner of Post Alley and Stewart. They had 2 Schick injectors, 2 Gems with the white (bakelite?) handles and 2 Kronas, one with Schick/Schick, and the other with Schick/Krona on the doors. Look for a small metal cart near the right hand side of the store. they also had several brushes and straights scattered throughout the store. Now to do some research on the the new toys! :biggrin:

It's a shame that I fudged the blue tip; it got boiled a little too vigorously in bicarb + H2O. I'm still very pleased, though, since these will all be shavers.
