My OCD is flaring up something fierce...

I looked around my bathroom today and started thinking how nice it would be if I decanted everything into decorative bottles and jars. When I say everything, I mean everything. Hair pomade, shaving cream, toothpaste, shaving soaps, colognes, the whole kit & kaboodle. Does anyone else think that's a bit much? Does anyone here, maybe, even do something like this? Or am I just a little bit off my rocker...

I kind of tend to buy things in decorative containers in the FIRST place . . . I know, I know. But it really IS part of my purchasing decisions, how something will look on the shave den shelves.

I like good packaging.

maybe a little...step back, take a deep breath, do something that takes a good chunk of time, then see if you still desire to do it

OCD is something that can be truly crippling. You get nervous around clutter, you try to make sure everything is copasetic, you fix things that aren't even broken.

I just got back from taking a look at all of the things I have in my bathroom. After studying the shaving creams, colognes, hair creams, etc., it dawned on me how cool it all already looked. I think that by putting them all in containers to make everything neat would take away from the character that it all gives my personal space. Thinking about it now (and I have considered this all for several weeks now), my bathroom would look pretty boring if I just moved everything into ho-hum lackluster containers. My OCD probably won't ever go away, but from here on out, I know it won't affect this particular matter any longer.

But seriously, I was pretty much going nuts in there a couple of hours ago wondering what containers would look more uniform. It ain't fun.
