Forum members,
I would like to buy a new brush. I would like to hear your feedback.
Criteria:
Using for soley for soap
I'm a face latherer
Would like to keep the price below $70
I'm a two year wet shaver that uses the following brushes; Omega Silvertip, Kent b4, Oriental Trader Silvertip.

And... what do you like/dislike about each?
Best.

Rooney 3/1 or 1/1 genuine silvertip from classic shaving. You cant go wrong with a Rooney

I do not want to write a huge paragraph.
The Oriental and the Omega are my daily users that I switch back and forth. They are great for creams and somewhat floppy. I use the Kent maybe once a week and its a gift from my wife. I'm very careful with it and it has sentimental value to me because I would have never bought it for myself.
The purpose of a new brush is a stiffer type for soaps. I have a puck of Tabac!

A small Rooney in Super at $75 is probably the best soap brush out there for the price.

Rooney 3/1 or 1/1 in Super from Jim at Vintage Blades. The shorter loft of his Rooneys is great for soaps. For $75 you will be pleased with your purchase. I have several more expensive brushes but my 3/1 holds its own with the best of them.

+2 -- it will be a stiffer little brush, great density, soft tips.
Go wild.

Have you considered one of the Omega professional boar brushes? They're stiff, soft, work great for soaps and are pretty nice for face lathering.
Plus they're cheap enough that w/ your price range you could get a new badger brush on top of it and still come out under budget.

I've also got an Omega and a Kent BK4. With that shared experience, let me add a + whatever we're up to for the Rooney 3/1 (or any other Rooney, really). It's a perfect fit for what you seem to be after, and the price is right in range.
As an aside, try the BK4 with your soaps if you haven't. It's surprisingly and enjoyable effective.
Enjoy!

I second all the recommendations for a 1/1 or 3/1 Rooney Super from Vintage Blades!
