Simpson Chubby 1 differences between new and old

I have a Pre-Vulfix Chubby 1 in Best that I really didn't like at first but after switching from bowl lathering with cream to face lathering with soap I have found it to be the best brush out of the 4 I own. I know it won't last forever and since I like this brush so much I will probably end up buying another Chubby to replace it; Even though needing a replacement is a while off if I want a pre Vulfix brush I'll have to act fast to track one down so I was wondering if its worth trying to find one or is the Simpfix Chubby Best essentially the same?

I have seen both and I have a new CH1 Super and it is fantastic. Vulfix has really nailed the Chubbies so far.

From the pics I've seen, it looks like one of the brushes Vulfix has kept really dense.

Picked mine up a couple of months ago. I'm a soap/face-latherer and couldn't ask for a better brush. Incredible brush!

There are comments saying they're still fairly dense, but I do not think anyone has said they are AS dense as they were. Not sure if there is a similar thread on B&B, but there is a good pre vs vulfix chubby discussion here:
