Not a bad day for checking the mail.

From Sue at SCS: I called her Thursday and ordered a 2oz. bottle of her Aqua AS milk. She threw in 3 EDT samples, great scents IMHO, and a sample of Coconut AS milk. Thanks Sue!

From MouldyCrow360: I missed out on his great PIF but he sent me a nearly full bottle of TOBS St. James cologne. Thanks Peter!

Hi DJ,

did you happen to pick those up in town by chance?
they look like something that would be very portland friendly.

Gents, I just discovered that a C&E dealer does exist within a typical driving distance from my home. Only 40 minutes away! Expect newly acquired products to be posted here soon.

Don't even think about it, Jim. It's mine, mine I tell you! Boohahahah!

Seriously, there is a cosmetic store called "Gayle's" on Summerhill that sells C&E. They have the ebony and cream best badger brushes in stock!!! I'm going asap to get one. They even have the chrome stand for it. I can't wait.

Picked up a vintage Erskine Badger Brush today at a new antique store I hadn't hit before. $3 and the handle is NOT plastic or Bakelite. It may be Ivory!

Just got this a few hours ago at Gayle's in Texarkana. They said they sell a lot of these brushes and I told them that C&E is sold out. They will probably see more business soon if I had my guess.

This vintage Gillette was actually acquired for free yesterday from a generous neighbor. Turns out the guy had it since he was a young man while serving in Vietnam. He found out about my interest in safety razors especially the vintage gillettes. Very kind of him...I believe it's a variant of the 54 ss. Let me know what you guys think it is. It looks like new after some sanitizing and polishing. My other score was awesome though I don't know what the name of this second Gillette is. I believe it's from the 1920s though. I found this one at an antique dealer for five bucks and it came with an original case as well as a vintage blade holder and a vintage brush as well...all that for five bucks!

Was in the Body Shop (Belfast Northern Ireland)today, there was a promotion on the Maca Root range that if you spent £25 or more you would get a fiver off. I had already planned to buy the eye serum and a face protector moisturizer. The very cute lady (a Galway accent, I think) then pointed out that I may as well get something else as those 2 products came to £20, so I emerged from the shop with
eye serum £10
energetic face protector £10
shave cream tube £5.50

all for £20.50:001_smile

amazing what a slightly husky Galway voice will get me to do.

Today I've bought two additional sticks of Sir Irisch Moos (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showpost.php?p=816617&postcount=124) (click for images). If the kind gentleman doesn't want these which I've bought for him then I gladly keep them for myself. :biggrin1:

You can't really tell from the pic, but it's a slant.

Will have to try and polish it up and clean the knurling, but it's in pretty good condition besides the brassing.

I wish I knew. But most likely, it's like everything else vintage. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. It could go for 15 bucks or $100. :tongue_sm

This arrived in the mail today. This is my first Simpfix brush. The Tulip 3. I guess the tradition of asking my wife where her nail polish is, upon the arrival of a new Simpson, ends here.

That's a beautiful brush, btw.

Wednesday: 2 knots from Anthony at the Goldennib - one best bdger for me ( a new soap brush) and a silvertip for my brother-in-law for christmas

Thursday - three custom cast acrylic blanks - white, black and brown for shave brush handles

Friday - found a local retailer for Boosters and Pinaud, and picked up June Clover and Polar Ice AS... next month maybe some pinaud

Saturday - cruising an antique strip for some vintage melamine plates for our new (to us) 1974 Trillium trailer, we hit the last one on the strip and I picked up an F4 Fatboy and a J2 Slim for a total of $12.

All in all a good week for me...
