I just bought this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250311132954
The price is probably massive and I don't really need it now as I have been given a Krups burr grinder and this expenditure can be done without.
I don't know if I want to keep it or now, if any members want it I paid that plus 12.60 shipping to me and if you want it PM me and I will most likely absorb shipping.
Thanks.
P.S. I don't know if this should be here or BST so please move/delete appropriately.

FYI, that's a very good grinder (I've been keeping my eye on them to see if I can get a good one for a reasonable price, but shipping from Europe is a killer).
You got that one for about 1/2 the best price I've seen for a new one in North America.

+1!!
I recently bought a different Zassenhaus hand-operated coffee grinder (also on ebaY)
Don't clean it with water! Instead, run a cup of white rice through it (and, at the same time, adjust the conical burr for the desired grind).

Zassenhaus makes awesome grinders. We have a pepper mill from them that's fantastic.

If you decide you don't, send me a PM - I may be interested depending on the price.
The real issue isn't the quality of the grind you'll get with this, its whether you want to spend 5 minutes cranking the thing every morning.

I just got a Zass ($25 shipped on the Bay -- I was lurking for it!), and it is love. I'm drinking coffee at work all the time now, and a good press grind takes twenty turns per cup of coffee. Yeah, it's that consistent . . .

Five minutes?? It takes me all of two minutes to grind three of those SCAA scoopfuls of home-roasted coffee, the right amount for my 8-cup Bodum French-press.
I know it's Halloween, Chris, but you're gonna scare the heck out of our R-James!

2 minutes for my 8 cup press sounds fine. I will order me some roasted beans when it gets here and then have a go. If I don't like it Chris will be getting a PM and a good price for being a mod.

The grind time is hugely dependant on the coarseness of the grind you want.
A coarse grind for a frensh press isn't a big deal, but once you start grinding for drip, moka or espresso, the grind times go up significantly.
I'm looking for a manual so I can grind without waking up my wife at 5:00 am!

My Zassenhaus is so-o-o-o quiet! Remember: ebaY is not for suckers!

The price is probably massive
As an aside, that's actually a great price for a Zass.
