I tried it and it works! Suprised the hell out of my wife too!! Unfortunatley, she gave me all the laundry to do now.

Too bad no slow mo on the vid for dummies like me. Looks like a David Copperfield trick to me :confused1

Folding shirts is easy. I take them to the cleaners!

I used to date a girl who always had her shirts folded like that... I never bothered to learn her mrthod though. Come to think of it, she also kept all of her clothes (even socks) folded as though they were still at the store. That is a little weird, isn't it?

I saw that video and have been folding my shirts like that over a year now. For another cool trick that will change your live, check this guy out:

I guess I am easily impressed because that was pretty cool. I tried it and I think I will fold my shirts that way. I know wifey will be impressed. Thanks.

Two steps? Got ya beat. My foolproof system-

1) hand to wife

Leave it in the laundry basket. If it doesn't fold itself, it doesn't need to be folded.

I tried to impress my wife by folding a shirt just like that...worked, turned out perfect. I was very proud of myself....however she says to me that that method is stupid because it takes too long....she holds up a shirt and by the time it hit the table it was folded just like that!!!!!! :a45: The force is strong with her.

There are, or course, some unanticipated charges that come with the deal.

Well, I'll be! Can't figure out how it works, but it does  . I think the shoelace trick is actually more cool than the shirt trick (I tie my shoelaces every day, but I rarely ever fold my shirts).

Oh well. I guess I'll just have to stick with the two step Japanese system.

Good move. My one step Japanese system is excruciatingly expensive.

Yes, but is your one-step system prettier? That might partially make up for the increased cost.

I was folding laundry last night and I could not figure this out for the life of me... I need to see it at a different angle I think. Where is Mantic when you need him?

ReadyMade mag has an online article about it. Maybe this will help those who can't understand from the vids.

and this site offers a translation of the commentary:

I had a hard time following it, too. It was like origami for laundry.

I'll confess to having become obsessed with that video. I can do it in about 0.5 second, and have folded every shirt in the house.

I can only conclude that this is part of the international women's conspiracy to trick us into doing more of their work. :sneaky2:

... just think what other "tricks" they have to convince us... I personally know of some "tricks" that work quite well...

I can hardly blame them. This past summer my goal was to have the missus take over the lawn mowing responsibilities. Things were working great until she decided the proper outfit would be high heels and a dress. The local teenage boys were greatly disappointed when I resumed the task.

I cannot stop watching that video. It's like watching a magic trick. It's like video crack.

I gotta go see that again.

BTW finding a woman who can actually cook and clean nowadays is akin to finding the Lost City of Atlantis. A lot of people claim they no where it is, but try and get them to actually show you it, impossible.

I just showed the video to my wife.

"And while you're at it," she said, "I want the towels in the cupboard to look like little cranes."
