That is a sample of it there in the litle packet. I thought it was actually very nice, and I plan on picking up a tube. It's slightly heavier nature will work well in the winter, I think, and I like the juniper smell.

1935 Schick Injector w/Schick blade

My thoughts of the first year injector. First, it is a beautiful razor. Very nicely made and I love the ease in which the handle scissors to allow the razor head to be opened and cleaned. Very cool design and very easy. This razor is pristine!

On the down side, the handle is very dainty. I have small hands it was still too small. Manageable, but small. I used some new Schick injector blades I purchased at a drug store. I've used them before in my bakelite injector and they didn't feel sharp then, and they didn't feel sharp today.
The shave was sub-par. In fact, after three passes, I grabbed my Progress and finished up with an A shave in the end.

This razor with be displayed prominently in my collection but it will not see my daily rotation.

This was my first shave with a shave stick. Jury's still out on this one for me as to whether I like the shave stick format or not. I'm going to have to check with the "Professor of Lather" on a couple of technique questions before passing judgement. In the end, I had an extremenly close shave however! A+ . During the shave, I thought I was getting a little irritation but now I think it was just a little tingling from the peppermint.

I'll try to keep control...

Just finished my second SOTD:
First pass was with my Injector and T&H Limes.
Second pass was with a M3 Power (it was an experiment--didn't shave any closer).
Third pass (same lathered brush) was with a Gillette DE and it did shave a little closer.

Finished with cold water and witch hazel. Then Molton Brown moisturizer.

Damn, I never thought I'd have so many products in my bathroom:biggrin:

Like you, I find the doubleEs to give me a better shave than an injector or M3, but that's just me. As you've noticed, subjectivity plays a huge role in everything we do here.
