Okay, you miserable enablers!!! I yield. I at least have to get a sense of what I may be missing.
(I'm gonna regret this.)
Can anyone recommend a good roaster in the greater Boston area?
Bloody hell.

One of the driving forces in quality roasting is George Howell and his company, Terroir Coffee, is located right off Route 2 in Acton. Great product and they will let you in to the tasting room if the timing is right. George is the person behind the Cup of Excellence competitions in South America and and he sold his highly successful chain of coffee shops (Coffee Connection) to Charbucks when the Seattle chain was begining to infect the nation.

I have been hunting for decent coffee in New England as well. Sadly, I have been forced to mail order my beans since moving here. My benchmark coffee is the "Machristay Black Pearl" from Chris' Coffee. If we can find a Starbucks that carries it, we also like the "Arabian Mocha Sanani". If any one finds a local roaster in between Boston and New Hampshire, please share your source :)
Cheers
